At KALAMARAKIS AUTOMATION, environmental consciousness is not just a value — it’s a commitment in action. As part of our sustainable development strategy and with deep respect for the environment, we recently made a significant investment by installing a 49 kW photovoltaic power station at our privately owned 2,500 m² facilities in Acharnes.
This project, completed in March 2024, is part of our ongoing efforts to achieve energy autonomy, reduce our environmental footprint, and actively support the green transition of Greek industry.
Just one year after implementation, the system is already delivering clear and measurable outcomes:
✅ 57,695 kWh of clean energy fully covered the annual energy needs of our facilities
✅ 23,519 kWh were fed back into the grid, contributing to the local energy balance
✅ Our CO₂ emissions were reduced by 15,500 kg, reinforcing our role in the fight against climate change
The environmental benefit is equivalent to the annual CO₂ absorption of 31 acres of olive groves — a concrete example of the real-world impact of green energy.
This investment is fully aligned with our company’s philosophy and long-term vision of a more sustainable and environmentally responsible business operation.
