Since its founding in Remscheid, Germany in 1879, KLAUKE has grown from a manufacturer of high-quality pliers for the watchmaking industry to a global Organization.

Today, KLAUKE manufactures and distributes tools, test, measurement and inspection devices, as well as connection materials for electrical applications. KLAUKE’s product range also includes customized tools for plumbing and heating technology, special connection components for use in the automotive industry, as well as wiring and assembly belts for specialized applications.

In addition to the headquarters in Remscheid, the company operates in Bernsdorf and nine other countries (Slovakia, France, Spain, Great Britain, Poland, Austria, India, and China) and employs more than 1200 people worldwide.

As of July 2018, Gustav Klauke GmbH was acquired by Emerson and now belongs to the Professional Tools Division of the global giant.
